Papers, 1907-1946 (bulk 1907-1942)

The Anna Isabel Francis Papers consist of a photocopied diary; the original was loaned for duplication by Florence Burke Dawson of Grand Forks. The diaries date from 1907 to 1942 and contain daily entries regarding family activities, farming, religion, travel and weather conditions, and other local and national events. The diaries provide a picture of farm life in the first half of the twentieth century. Obituaries for Anna Isabel Francis Burke and John M. Burke, as well as photocopied photographs of the family, are included as part of the last installment of the diary.
